Ronnie Wilson was an actor and composer known for founding the Gap Band, which rose to fame during the 1970s and 1980s.

The band consisted of three brothers: Charlie, Ronnie, and Robert Wilson, along with other members; it was named after streets (Greenwood, Archer, and Pine) in the historic Greenwood neighborhood in the brothers' hometown of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Wilson is also known for his songs, Fish Tank (2009), Uncle Drew (2018), and Atop the Fourth Wall (2008).
